This International Women’s Day host a celebration event and raise funds for breast cancer research.
You can choose to host an intimate morning tea at home, lunch in your favourite restaurant or gather the ladies at your local park on, or close to, the 8th March. Just ask for a donation to attend or put on a raffle/auction.
NBCF is proud to support projects led by female researchers that are making an impact towards Zero Deaths from breast cancer
HOW IT WORKS

“Supporting breast cancer research has always been a cause close my heart after my godmother lost her battle 15 years ago. Late last year it hit even closer to home when my mum was diagnosed. Hosting a fundraiser felt like one of the only things I could do to help her, it’s hard to know how to support or help someone going through this and fundraising felt like one of the only things I could do at the time.”
- Bianca and Jasmine, Zero Hero Fundraisers.
THIS IS WHAT WE’RE UP AGAINST
AUSTRALIANS
ARE DIAGNOSED
EVERY HOUR
AUSTRALIANS
ARE DIAGNOSED
EVERY DAY
AUSTRALIANS
ARE DIAGNOSED
EVERY YEAR
This increase is largely due to longer life expectancy, population growth, improved detection methods and also lifestyle changes. Directly or indirectly - more Australian families are likely to be affected by breast cancer than any other type of cancer. While research has told us a lot about what can affect breast cancer risk, more research is required to learn more about the different causes of breast cancer.
Research is the best way to stop deaths from breast cancer.
