Support my challenge to step up to breast cancer!

As a plastic surgery nurse working in the public system, I have seen first hand the battle these people face. It’s not just the cancer treatment it’s the years of multiple gruelling hospital admissions for the double mastectomies, the tissue expanders, the infections, the drains, the Tram & Diep Flaps, the breast reconstructions, the everybody in the hospital looking at your chest 3 times a day for weeks, the pain, the not being able to use your arms and “stay in banana position”, The moments of vulnerability I have shared with these women, laughing together, crying together. The sheer brut strength it takes just get through another day has left me inspired many times. I’ve had many special moments with so many beautiful women but one in particular who I am honoured to have shared her journey with for over 5 years always left me in awe. We were old hospitality work buddies and our paths crossed again when I was her nurse.

Right now, 58 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer every DAY!

This August, I am taking part in Step Up to Breast Cancer for the mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loves ones who are impacted by this devastating disease.

I am doing this to raise funds for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives.

Please make a donation to support my challenge and let's step up to breast cancer together!

Thank you for your support.
