I am a Stage 2, Breast Cancer survivor having spent most of 2022 undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy and recovering from surgery.
Breast Cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer amongst women in Australia.
Over 20,000 women and men will be diagnosed this year. That’s 57 Australians every single day and a further 9 will lose their life.
This year I have decided it’s time to give back to those who helped me survive. I have pledged with the National Breast Cancer Foundation and I’m fundraising money for their Go Pink campaign. Throughout the month of June, I’ll be rocking pink clothes to represent the cause. Feel free to join me in splashing a touch of pink in your wardrobe if you wish or if you’re in a position to donate, please do.
This April is my first year anniversary since being diagnosed and surviving Stage 2 Breast Cancer. It’s my turn to give back and help other women and men have the best possible chance of survival with this disease.
This June, I've made a pledge to WEAR IT and raise funds for world-class research into effective prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer. This much needed research has the potential to save thousands of lives.
Every donation, big or small, will get me closer to reaching my goal and helping the National Breast Cancer Foundation end deaths from breast cancer.
