Coral Bay WA Goes PINK

On the 21st June 2018 our small town Coral Bay went PINK.

We sold PINK supplies, incl. tutus, ties, bow ties, suspenders, capes and feather boas to raise money. All donated by the Coral Bay Conservation Group. These were worn during the day in all the different workplaces. Incl. Whaleshark Tours, Manta Ray Tours, Quad Trek Tours, Fishing Charters, Booking Offices, Beauty Spa, Newsagency, Tavern, Resort, Supermarkets, Bakery, Caravan Park Receptions, Groundsmen and Cleaners

The local kids went to school in PINK  and tourists even joined in.

We put PINK jars in all the local businesses and even had a local from Coral Convienence Store doing spins in his PINK tutu for a donation.

Another local baked PINK cupcakes to sell at the Coastal Adventure Tours Office.

The Bakery Staff wore PINK ribbons in their hair and all tips went to the GO PINK.

The day spa, Indiblu applied glittery makeup to all.

Bayview Caravan Park filled their donation jar to the brim with both tourists and staff donating.

Coral Bay Supermarket put their donation jar in prime position on their counter with a witty saying.

Seaforce Fishing Charters had a private charter for the week and all the boys chipped in and donated $100.

Local photographers took underwater photos of swimmers wearing PINK tutus and capes with our local marine life.

We held a raffle at our local pub, Ningaloo Reef Resort on our locals night and had a jar going around. Thanks to the staff for the support.

In total we raised $2140.50.

I am am very proud of what we have achieved and hope to make next year even bigger!

Australia, get ready, I’m going pink.

From 18 – 24 June, the National Breast Cancer Foundation is challenging the men and women of Australia to GO PINK in support of the thousands of mothers, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, daughters and sons that have been – or will be – affected by breast cancer.

I’ve joined the team because breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia. It’s a disease we cannot ignore. But together, we can change the outcomes.

While “Going Pink” this June, I’m raising money for life-changing research. Please donate to my page, you’ll be helping us step closer to our ultimate goal: zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.

YOU can make a difference. Let me know if you want to GO PINK with me!
