Hi, I’m Michelle – I’m the one in the pink hat – and I’m living with breast cancer.
Some days are tougher than others, but most days I’m deeply grateful for each new sunrise. That gratitude is thanks to the incredible advances in targeted treatments made possible through ongoing research.
To show my appreciation and give back, I wanted to shave my hair and raise money for this vital cause.
However, I’ve already experienced hair loss as a rare side effect of my treatment – so instead, my amazing sister Maryanne (that’s her proudly beside me) is stepping in to do the shave on my behalf.
She’s doing it for every sister we’ve lost, for all those still fighting, and for the hope of better outcomes in the future.
I think she’s going to rock the short hair!
