Why I'm GOING PINK!
I'm choosing to GO PINK!, in support of all those woman and men and their families who have been impacted by breast cancer. Recently, a close friend was diagnosed and had successful surgery to remove the lumps found. I also have had friends who haven't been so fortunate, leading to breast removal and long rounds of chemotherapy and check ups.
I have engaged work colleagues and friends to help support my fundraising. I have set a small target of $1000 for fundraising. Whilst much of the campaign may be around raising valuable funds, I also want to ensure that education and self checks are done to ensure treatment is undertaken as early detection is the key.
Too many people in varying age groups are often impacted. Families will share and experience all the emotions that come with someone dealing with cancer. It is truly a life changing experience. Regardless of your age, whether it be young or old, let's all band together in support of the work that the National Breast Cancer Foundation do and work towards ensuring we can completely eridicate this form of cancer and take those that we love.
GO PINK! Let's make a commitment to help fund world-class research.
Australia, get ready, I’m going pink.
From 18 – 24 June, the National Breast Cancer Foundation is challenging the men and women of Australia to GO PINK in support of the thousands of mothers, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, daughters and sons that have been – or will be – affected by breast cancer.
I’ve joined the team because breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia. It’s a disease we cannot ignore. But together, we can change the outcomes.
While “Going Pink” this June, I’m raising money for life-changing research. Please donate to my page, you’ll be helping us step closer to our ultimate goal: zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.
YOU can make a difference. Let me know if you want to GO PINK with me!
