I'm going without to support breast cancer research!

The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is challenging all Australians to Give it Up for Breast Cancer.

I've decided to go without and raise money for vital breast cancer research.

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia. This year over 20,000 Australians will be diagnosed. That is why I have decided to give it up and help fund the future of research and change these stats.

Please donate to my page and you’ll be helping the National Breast Cancer Foundation take one step closer to reaching their goal of Zero Deaths From breast cancer.

YOU can make a difference. Let me know if you want to Give it Up for Breast Cancer with me!

Giving Up Is Easy?

Thursday 4th Jan
Giving up is easy when you have the responsibility of being morally answerable to those that have donated. Yes, I could lie to myself, but knowing me I’d fess up!

But it’s actually not.

Food and especially junk food is a big challenge for me to forego for a month, as I am often triggered to binge eat when I am in emotional upheaval.

For example, the episodes of anxiety I often have. Or the feelings of low self worth that plague me. (See ADHD)

But, this is becoming a big learning experience already, to see if I can find other ways of sitting with these feelings and working through them mindfully, rather than turning to unhealthy practises that in the past, led to severe obesity.

What better way to also be accountable, than by raising funds for a worthy cause that might one day even save my life?
