I'm now a Pink Hero
I've decided to set myself a monumental challenge to raise money for world-class breast cancer research to help National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
We all know someone in our lives, a relative, a friend, a co-worker or a friend of a friend who’s faced their own battle with breast cancer.
1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. 21,000 people every year are diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia. That equates to 58 people every day. Sadly, 3300 of those diagnosed annually, will lose their battle, which equates to 9 Australians everyday.
Priority Gym Yarrawonga will host me during this challenge, on the 10th of May.
THE CHALLENGE:
With a 7 hour time-cap to represent the 1-7 women diagnosed, 24300 metres/reps which represent the 21000 diagnosed each year and the 3300 Australians who lose their battle each year. I will attempt to complete; a 10km run, 10km row, 3.3km ski erg, 500 wall balls & 500 burpees.
