New Target!

Guys!!! I’m so excited to say we’ve managed to smash my original goal of $1500 in about 5 days! Thanks for all of the generous donations I have received so far from all of my closest family and friends - your support is so appreciated! 

Since we have exceeded the original goal - I am setting the bar higher now and updating the target goal to $3000 by shave day - 28th June.

My Why!

Hi Guys… My name is Kristy and I wanted to share abit about myself and why I am pledging to GO PINK! 

I’ve experienced first hand the effects of a breast cancer diagnosis through multiple important people in my life, including my partner and my mum. 

My partner was diagnosed early 2024 completely out of the blue with no symptoms. Due to some type of divine intervention, she attended a breast cancer mobile screening clinic after receiving a pamphlet in the mail - it was a total shock to receive this diagnosis after routine testing and a scary time to endure together. Thankfully, due to early detection and a great medical team, she is a just over a year in the clear! 

In 2018, my mum discovered a small lump in her breast and was diagnosed, thankfully, this was also early detected and successfully removed and treated with radiation.

Early detection and treatment is key!  

More about me - I’ve had dreadlocks for about 6 years. Since I started my dread journey, they have become a massive part of my identity, to the point I don’t think my kids remember me without them! Shaving them off after years of nurturing , is nerve racking and feels like a huge layer to shed! But this cause is so worthy and any money that I can raise to go towards it, I am super grateful for!

So please dig deep and donate if you can as I will be shaving my head as part of the GO PINK! campaign on the 28th of June!!
