I've made a pledge to GO PINK!
NBCF is working towards one goal: zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030
Mum was first diagnosed on the 05/05/05 with Stage 2 Invasive Lobular Carcinoma. Despite early detection, chemotherapy, radical bilateral mastectomy and continued treatment it returned soon after as a local recurrence, followed by multiple Stage 4 metastases. For nearly 18 years she has fought breast cancer, ten years of that being terminal and inoperable. And now, we are at the end. It is all through her spine, skull, brain, liver, ribs, sternum, stomach lining and central nervous system.
While 18 years may be a lifetime for some, it is not long enough for us.
This June, I've made a pledge to COLOUR IT and raise funds for world-class research into effective prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer. This much needed research has the potential to save thousands of lives..
My goal is to reach at least 1800, to honour 18 years. Let's strive for more!
Every donation, big or small, will get me closer to reaching my goal and helping the National Breast Cancer Foundation end deaths from breast cancer.
