Smashing the target!
Wow! I am blown away by everyone's generosity so far! I set the target at an amount I thought would be achievable without anyone having to break the bank, but everyone is digging deep and I am loving it - THANK YOU so much!
The only way is up now! The amount we have raised together is going to make a real difference in supporting researchers to develop new combination therapies for metastatic breast cancer, aiming to improve effectiveness while reducing harmful side-effects. So yay! Go team!
If we manage to make double the original target and get to $1,000 then our efforts could help researchers uncover new drug targets for chemo-resistant metastatic triple negative breast cancer- which is unfortunately the one my Mum is battling with at the moment.
I really appreciate every dollar that's been donated so far. In what sometimes seems like a helpless situation this is giving us all hope and positivity to focus on.
Just wanted to say a BIG thank you to all those lovely ladies who have donated so far! We have reached the half way mark to my $500 target.
So why haven't we seen any donations from blokes yet??
Fellas! Get on board, just because you don't have boobies, doesn't mean you didn't depend on a set as a baby, haven't enjoyed a few sets in your time since then, or don't have a mother / wife / sister / daughter that has a pair.
Do it for the knockers, hooters, breasts, bossoms, titties, tits, and boobies in your life, doing so will save lives of the women you love. Xox
Cancer is a C#nt
Probably an award winning blog title.
Sums up all there is to be said about the thing.
Having looked into several different treatment options for my Mum I can confirm it's a fucking mine field. No one knows what path to take and the standard surgery/chemo / radiation just doesn't cut it in all cases.
Governments need to be open to legalising viable alternatives, so funding research into things such as blue/green algae, CBD/THC, different delivery methods of chemo coupled with things such as insulin to kill those cancer cells - these are all being looked at and funding will make a big difference.
The whole way cancer is treated needs an overhaul in my opinion, hopefully new research will give better options and save lives.
My Pink Ribbon Breakfast
This year I am hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast because I want to make a real difference to Australians affected by breast cancer. All donations made to this page will help do exactly that.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is Australia’s leading national body funding game-changing breast cancer research with money raised entirely by the Australian public.
I really believe research is the best way to prevent deaths, and improve how breast cancer is diagnosed, managed and treated. NBCF is working towards one goal: zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. Together we can help them get there.
Click 'Donate' to make a secure online donation and help me reach my goal. Every donation, big or small, will help me get there. Please donate today.
All donations over $2 are tax deductible and you will be issued with a tax-deductible receipt via email as soon as you make your donation.
Thank you so much for your support!
