I'm GOING PINK for Mum

I've made a pledge to shave my head!

Shaving my head on June 17th!

I originally made a promise to let people choose a hairstyle for my head, but people have been giving so much that I actually just don't have enough hair to accomodate all the hair styles. 

WHICH IS AN AWESOME PROBLEM TO HAVE!

So, instead, I'll be trying my best to do these five hairstyles for lols: a mullet, a mohawk, a friar tuck, just the fringe, and a bowl cut.

Here's why I'm doing this:

Breast Cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer amongst women in Australia.

Over 20,000 women and men will be diagnosed this year. That’s 57 Australians every single day and a further 9 will lose their life. This included my mom.

This June, I've made a pledge to shave my head and raise funds for world-class research into effective prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer. This much needed research has the potential to save thousands of lives..

Every donation, big or small, will get me closer to reaching my goal and helping the National Breast Cancer Foundation end deaths from breast cancer.

The Big Shave!

It's been just over a month since I shaved off all my hair in my Uncle's wool shed - which, if you know anything about farming, is where the shearing of wool is very common. What *was* uncommon was that this time, it was two freshly shorn *people* (myself and my brother Joshua) who emerged out of the shed! I owe a great big thank you! to all my donors, from within my friends, family and work family - your support has meant the world to me, and your donations towards breast cancer research has certainly made my hairless state easier to bear. If only I had kept my hair and made a beanie out of it. That is my only regret. It's so cold. Thank you.
