THE WEEK SO FAR

Has been fantastic, my crew at work have been involved by wearing something Pink this week, other departments who I thought would give a bit of lip (in fun) have also been very supportive and I also learned some have been touched with family or friends who have been through Breast Cancer and love what we have going on. Still a ways to go to obtain the result I was hoping for but we will keep this on the go reminding people of this.

A huge thanks to the team I work with and also our company HR Manager (Angela) for helping support this event and I’m already thinking about how I can do more next year, such a worthy cause.

It's a GO (PINK).

Well the launch of “GO PINK” is now here, set up a number of posters and ensuing we get the message out to our work colleges and any visitors through the week, not to mentioned obtaining some funds toward our goal. Really pleased with the team I work with as they have got behind the GO PINK campaign as well as the group also involved.

Huge thank you to IPP (Industrial Protection Products) who have donated some shirts for our guys to use through the week which are also embroided with GO PINK, Jeremy and the team at IPP have helped out with this, thank guys.

Breast Cancer at Bakers Delight

The halfway point of this year’s campaign, and it’s changing shape from Pink Buns to bread rolls.

From today until 29 May, all Bakers Delight franchisees around the country will donate $1 from the sale price of every 6-pack of bread rolls to BCNA.

They can't deliver free resources and support without the Pink Bun campaign and Bakers Delight. So please go in store, buy a 6-pack of rolls and say thank you to the Bakers Delight team.

For 19 years, they've helped us to reach more than 120,000 Australians affected by breast cancer. A thank you would mean the world to them.

Thank you Byrnecut Group

We would like to pass thanks to the Byrnecut Group and staff who have come on board to raise the awareness of Breast Cancer, Byrnecut Group is a fantastic business always looking to help where able and with such large staffing numbers have provided communication to all to ensure people are aware of this terrible disease and with the support seen by a number of the staff already the message has been received.

Byrnecut Group is one of the leaders in underground mining as well as a number of other entities making it a fantastic one stop shop headed up by a fantastic team who are always looking at better, smarter and more efficient ways to improve on how to do things within the business to provide much better outcomes for its clients.

Go Pink

In June, we're challenging all the men, women, girls and boys of Australia to GO PINK in support of the thousands of mothers, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives and children whose lives have been - or will be - affected by breast cancer.

It's a disease we cannot ignore. But together, we can change the outcomes.

By going pink in June and raising funds for research, you're helping us move closer to our ultimate goal: zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.

June 3rd to June 7th, 2019 will be a day to support this cause, dress in something PINK to work for the day, could be a hard hat, cap, Tee, reflective shirt socks whatever, but jump on board and spread both the love and awareness of this terrible disease.

Sadly Breast Cancer will touch someone in your life time. Family and friends are so important so be sure to keep in touch with those around you.

Cheers
Gavin

I am taking part in GO PINK, between June 3rd, & June 9th next month.

I’m looking to raise both awareness and money to a fantastic cause which has and will affect everyone at some stage in the lives and as such would encourage a donation be made to the following web page. A reminder that even men can be effected by breast cancer and currently states indicate that 1 in 675 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

Some current stats:-

1 in 7 Women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
53 Australians are diagnosed each and every day.
8 Women lose their life to breast cancer every day in Australia.

Australia is the world leader in Breast Cancer survival.
Australia current has 90.8% survival rate.

So funds raised towards this helps with research, identify other DNA defects, enhance detection of BC etc and will contribute to the improvement and life styles of those currently and those effect in the future. No matter on how large or small the amount given, all fund will help and assist in so many ways.

We would be so grateful if you could please help make a difference and donate to my fundraising page https://fundraise.nbcf.org.au/fundraisers/gavinchatt.

All donations over $2 are tax deductible and you'll receive a receipt via email.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Kindest Regards
Gavin

Australia, get ready, I’m going pink.

G Day Guys,

Whilst we all know about this issue and donate etc when we can, you never really understand how involved or how many are effected from this. Please pass this around to friends and family and see what we can raised to help this foundation.

I've joined GO PINK in support of the thousands of mothers, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, daughters, sons and colleagues that have been – or will be – affected by breast cancer.

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia. It’s a disease we cannot ignore. But together, we can change the outcomes. I have set up a fundraising page and I'm hoping to raise 500 of even more if we can.

An amount of $50 can contribute to helping researchers analyse genetic data so they can pinpoint the genes that lead to the most common types of breast cancer for example.
