I'm going without alcohol to support breast cancer research!

The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is challenging all Australians to Give it Up for Breast Cancer.

I've decided to go without and raise money for vital breast cancer research.

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia. This year over 20,000 Australians will be diagnosed. That is why I have decided to give it up and help fund the future of research and change these stats.

Please donate to my page and you’ll be helping the National Breast Cancer Foundation take one step closer to reaching their goal of Zero Deaths From breast cancer.

YOU can make a difference. Let me know if you want to Give it Up for Breast Cancer with me!

My Updates

More of a challenge than I thought

Monday 8th Jan
One week in and all I want is a cold drink. I’ve never been around so much alcohol until this week with events on and having friends around for a summer bbq. pushing through as I’m determined to finish this. Challenge . too many women die early from breast cancer with thousands being diagnosed yearly . Remember to check your breasts and if you notice any changes no matter how small check with a DR. it could just save your life .

Hi ?
I’ve chosen to do this challenge for two reasons one is to start the new year with a challenge to benefit both my mental and physical health. And secondly in memory of my beautiful grandma Jillian ??. for those who were lucky enough to come Accross my grandma all knew what a kind hearted lady she was and would do anything for anyone without showing judgement . Unfortunately she was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer and put up a brave fight until
The very end. she never complained and still smiled through all the tough challenges that come with such a horrific diagnosis. I had the pleasure of nursing my grandma in her final days and witnessed how awful the disease can be . so I’m challenging myself by giving up alcohol just as many women have to
Except they don’t have a choice.
