I'm now a Zero Hero
This year my mum was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. She is one of the bravest people I know and is now clear of her cancer thanks to surgery and chemotherapy treatment. Without the incredible work of hospital staff and researchers in this area of medicine, these treatments would not have been available. I am so thankful that I've still got my beautiful mum with me today and want to help contribute to making sure that anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation can have the same.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation in Australia is working towards a goal of ZERO deaths from breast cancer by 2030. In 2020, 19,807 females and 167 males were diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia according to Cancer Australia. It is estimated that over 3,000 people will die from breast cancer this year alone. All donations made to this page will help fund more research to allow faster diagnosis, better treatment and overall, a much more positive outlook for anyone who develops the disease.
