For those of you that are unaware, October is breast cancer awareness month.
As this awful disease is very close to our hearts, we have chosen to participate in a burpee challenge throughout the month. We are hoping to raise awareness for those battling the disease, those who have lost loved ones, and those who have fought and won the cancer fight.
In 2018, we lost our beloved Nan to a long fight with both breast and lung cancer. She was one to never give up and was known for being incredibly strong throughout her fight against cancer.
We have set a goal to complete 6200 burpees between the two of us within the 31 days of October. Throughout this time, we wish to raise funds for cancer research and help contribute to how cancer is diagnosed, managed and treated.
We are participating in our fundraiser through the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), where their aim is working towards a goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.
Every donation, both big or small can make a huge difference in helping us to reach our end goal, while most importantly raising funds and awareness for breast cancer.
Thank you all so much for your support!
This is for you Nan.
