Mad Boobies Mac

I'm now a Zero Hero

During this PANDEMIC, I understand that “C” is the forgotten letter. Cancer.

As an entrepreneur, a woman entrepreneur no less, we are faced on daily basis to choose how we prioritise our time. I made sure to take time and effort to do health checks, exercise and to practice general well-being. Our health -as entrepreneur- is our best asset.

Imagine my shock when I did my general check up recently and was being told that there were only 1100 breast screening in April 2020 vs 70000 screening just a MONTH before.

I read an article about a marathoner, a very healthy woman, learnt she has stage 3 breast cancer that has spread to her chest after delaying mammogram due to COVID.

We can’t isolate cancer, we can’t contact trace it, and we can’t stop, flatten or delay the spread.

I’m fundraising to start nudging the attention back; that while in my state (VIC), life seems to pause, we as women can’t pause our health. Breast screening is important and funding for breast cancer study is more than just essential. It is the most common cancer for women in Australia. Surely, it should get more attention as much as COVID?

I believe that a world where there are ZERO deaths from breast cancer, would be the world I would like future female generation to live in.

WE can do this together.

I really believe research is the best way to prevent deaths, and improve how breast cancer is diagnosed, managed and treated. NBCF is working towards one goal: zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. Together we can help them get there.

The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is Australia’s leading national body funding game-changing breast cancer research with money raised entirely by the Australian public.

Visit our page at www.glacedessert.com/shop and purchase your Mad (Boobies) Mac. For each Booby Macaron sold, we are donating $1 to NBCF

Our goal is to sell 1000 macaron by the end of October, and if we miss it, I would personally top it up to reach our donation goal.

Thank you so much for your support, and let’s do this together!
