I am absolutely gobsmacked at the generosity of everyone that has contributed thus far, THANK YOU!! We have smashed the goal yet again - thank you to my sports bar regulars who made their cash donations today. Please continue to spread the word and let’s get to the next goal!!

Wowweee, two days and already so many generous souls have donated!! Thank you all so so much for your contributions - we've already surpassed my target of $300! I'm going to keep going, we're only 4 days in and many more to go but it'll go by in a flash.

It is going to a beautiful cause and for that, it is all worth it <3

I forgot to mention that this month will also kick-start my "no new things" journey for the year. Particularly this month I want to be extremely conscious of my consumption (sometimes over-consumption) of various aspects of my life when it comes to things I just don't need; whether it be shopping, social media, eating out etc. 

So I've made a "no new things" pact for this month and won't be allowing myself any newly purchased luxuries, only the necessities. Making sure I'm using what I already have available to me before going out to buy something brand new - I have plenty of clothes, makeup and skincare, definitely don't need any more new books until I've read all the ones I already have...

You get the jist. The western world consumes enough as it is (yes, treat yourself) and our planet is already suffering enough from the overproduction of consumer goods (particularly textiles). AND I don't need to be spending all my money when I could be saving to put it towards future travels and life-changing memories or fundraising for causes such as this one!

Surely do it with me...

This month I’ve decided to join the Dry January club and go without alcohol in hope of raising funds for Breast Cancer awareness. This is a cause close to my heart, not only as a woman but also as someone who has lost a loved one to breast cancer recently - I’d love to be able to honour my Auntie Keiko and would greatly appreciate any little bit you can do to help! 

It can be as small as what you’d pay for your cup of coffee in the morning, or any change you’d have sitting in your car cup holder. Any wee bit helps us forward research and support for those who may encounter this devastating illness!

For those in Adelaide, I’m looking to set up a wee fundraiser at the end of February so please keep your eyes peeled for more info on that <3>
