My 57 Squat Challenge for breast cancer research

57 Australians will be diagnosed with breast cancer today and a further 9 will lose their life. I want to make a difference to the lives of those 57 Australians impacted by the disease - that is why I am taking on the 57 Squat Challenge to raise vital funds for world-class breast cancer research. But I need your help.

Please support my squat challenge to save lives and make a difference.

Every donation, big or small, will get me closer to reaching my goal and helping the National Breast Cancer Foundation end deaths from breast cancer.

Here we go again!

In July 2021 at 35 years of age I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

To put it very simply- this changed my life, it flipped my entire world upside down, from side to side and around in circles.

I underwent surgery and chemotherapy and I am now on daily medications and monthly injections for many many years to come- as hard as it is was ( and still is) the fact I had access to an amazing team of doctors, surgeons, oncologists and nurses saved my life- and continues to do so as the medications I take aim to prevent its return.

Nothing is promised right? But I am given the chance to keep living and try my best to be thankful that we have these amazing treatment options available to us...but we still need more!!

It's not just about me- this is about the women and men that are diagnosed each and every day- 57 to be exact! It blows my mind. I want to know that the future holds less darkness and fear for all that are unfortunate to have to walk this path- with more treatment options, more knowledge and understanding of why, how and what can be done to beat it to the curb!

So 57 squats is nothing!

But with each and every squat I do, I can promise you I will feel it to my core and make each count knowing each of the 57 people diagnosed each day is feeling those feelings I know all too well!

It's not just about donations- it's about awareness- so to each and every one of you reading this- check yourself and speak up if you know something isn't right!

I am more than happy to share more about my story, symptoms and the whole process if you think it may help you.

Now to get the legs ready!!

Big love,

Cat x
