I'm now a Zero Hero
I'm hosting an event because I want a world where there are ZERO deaths from breast cancer. I believe every death from breast cancer is one too many. To achieve this, I’m raising funds for more research. All donations made to this page will help do exactly that.
My mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer when she was only 39yrs old, thankfully she received the appropriate treatment and is here to tell her story (an ensure that I am ALWAYS doing self checks and regular mammograms). I have also had a close friend that has beaten Breast Cancer, unfortunately she had to endure chemo thereapy, however she is definitely a courageous, strong and inspiring woman and she to is here to tell her story. Unfortunately I also know of a young mum that lost her battle with Breast Cancer and left behind her young children and husband, it is for her and others that have both fought, won, suffered and lost their battle that I try and raise whatever I can during the month of October/November towards this great cause.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is Australia’s leading national body funding game-changing breast cancer research with money raised entirely by the Australian public.
I really believe research is the best way to prevent deaths, and improve how breast cancer is diagnosed, managed and treated. NBCF is working towards one goal: zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. Together we can help them get there.
