I'm Stepping Up To Breast Cancer
Hi friends n family- for those who don’t know yet, after a small brush with breast cancer in 2017, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer earlier this year and have just finished 4 months of chemotherapy- I now go on to permanent targeted therapy for ‘life’. Surgery follows in the next couple ish months. The basic stats are that 1 in 5 of us should make it to 5 years but rest assured that we are including a cancer keto diet, extended fasting (luckily Michelle is a nutritionist!) and exercise plus stress reduction (ok fasting can be stressful!) and off the alcohol for the last 5 months (argh!), but we are doing great mentally. I have a vested interest in this cause and hopefully you can yet again support us, noting we all have many stressors on our hip pocket.
So, this August, I have joined the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to Step Up to Breast Cancer. I have stepped up to the challenge of completing 10,000 steps every day throughout the month to raise money for vital breast cancer research.
This year over 3,100 Australians will lose their life to breast cancer. That is why I have stepped up to the challenge to help fund the future of research and change these stats. But I need your help.
Every donation, big or small, will get me closer to reaching my goal and helping the National Breast Cancer Foundation end deaths from breast cancer.
Just a $fiver, the price of a decent coffee, would be most gratefully appreciated - failing that, sending love and hugs to us would be terrific.
Much love to you and yours and any battles you are facing xxxooo
