I'm now a Zero Hero
Immediate Past President of AMA Queensland and now honoured to be a Zero Hero for Breast Cancer. As a medical practitioner I see people who suffer malignancy every day. My wife's sister, Pip, now has a diagnosis of stage 4 breast cancer. Her daughter Marnie shaved her hair for Breast Cancer. My daughter Megan and I walked the 150 km Centenary Trail in Canberra at Easter for Breast Cancer with funds going to NFBC. My eyebrows will be shaved for Breast Cancer on SUNDAY 12th MAY AT NORTHERN END MACKAY BOTANIC GARDENS NEAR PLAYGROUND FROM 12.30. SIMPLE SNAG BBQ. BRING A PLATE AND CHAIR. Fittingly, this happens to be Mother's Day. The top two pledges, or their delegates, will shave an eyebrow each and the next two top pledges will use indelible pink pen to replace the eyebrows. The pink will remain until the brows grow back in 6 to 8 weeks.
