Women in Horticulture Go Pink!

Fundraising event a huge success - thank you for helping us exceed our target!

Hi everyone!

Well there was certainly a sea of pink at the Women in Horticulture event on Wednesday 20 June! It was wonderful to see so many people get into the spirit of the event and raise some funds for such an important cause.

Of course, this event wouldn't have been possible without the fantastic support of our event sponsor, Boomaroo Nurseries. We were treated to an extensive supply of pink Boomaroo caps and flowers from their nursery, as well as a pink lolly table to spark some enthusiasm - because who doesn't love a lolly table!

In addition to our online donations, on-the-day cash donations and a very generous cheque for $1,000 from Boomaroo, we're pleased to say that we raised a total of $6,123.80! What a fantastic effort!

A very big thank you to all of the companies and individuals who provided such generatious donations to help us exceed our target and take us one step closer to achieving zero deaths from breast cancer by 2020.

Australia, get ready - Women in Horticulture are going pink!

Hello and welcome to the Women in Horticulture Go Pink page!

Every year AUSVEG hosts an annual event to celebrate the essential role that women play in the horticulture industry. This year's event, proudly sponsored by Boomaroo Nurseries, will be taking place on 20 June at Hort Connections 2018 at the Brisbane Convention Centre, and we're encouraging all attendees to GO PINK!

From 18 – 24 June, the National Breast Cancer Foundation is challenging the men and women of Australia to GO PINK in support of the thousands of mothers, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, daughters and sons that have been – or will be – affected by breast cancer.

AUSVEG has joined the team because breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia. It’s a disease we cannot ignore. But together, we can change the outcomes.

While “Going Pink” this June, we're raising money for life-changing research. Please donate to our page, you’ll be helping us step closer to our ultimate goal: zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.

YOU can make a difference. Let us know if you want to GO PINK with us!

Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
