Support my challenge to step up to breast cancer!
Back in March, at the start of my breast cancer journey, I squatted 4617 times to raise much needed funds for breast cancer research! This August, I'm back to participate in Step Up to Breast Cancer to help people impacted by this devastating disease.
I'll be stepping, jogging and working my way back to running with a 57km challenge to recognise the 57 people in Australia who are diagnosed with breast cancer every day.
My journey so far:
I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer on 30 January 2024. On 16 February, I started my treatment which includes 5 months of Chemotherapy, alongside 12 months of immunotherapy, Surgery and radiotherapy. On 21 June I celebrated my last dose of chemo, on 12 July I went in for surgery with the hope they would get it all out of my body and on 22 July I learned that I had achieved a Pathological complete response.
Despite this massive win, my journey isn't over. I will continue my planned treatment with immunotherapy and radiation over these next few months.
And I will forever be worried that it may return one day.
I truly hope, and believe, that if this happens, research is how we will achieve zero deaths through improved screening, treatment and care options.
Please donate now to support my challenge and let's step up to breast cancer together!
Thank you so much.
