Support my challenge to swim for breast cancer!
9 people in Australia die from breast cancer every single day. Yes, 9 per day!
Last year I had to undergo a breast fine needle aspirate, followed by a core biopsy, and it was a terrifying time (luckily I was ok at my 1 year follow-up). I also have several girlfriends and a relative who have undergone mastectomies (single or double) and I will swim in their honour to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, in the hope one day no women will die from breast cancer. I also swim to honour my incredible friend who is a specialist breast sonographer in WA, who saves the lives of women every week, and who looked after me during my scans!
This October and November, I am taking part in Swim For Breast Cancer for the mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loves ones who are impacted by this devastating disease.
I am doing this to raise funds for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives.

Saturday 30th Nov Today is the last day of my National Breast Cancer Foundation swim, and I have smashed my 30 km goal … as of this morning I have knocked out 52.5 km!!! I have *almost* reached my fundraising goal, if you are able sponsor me, I would be very grateful. Share
Day 1 and Day 2 of Holidays
Tuesday 1st Oct Day 1 of our holiday in Singapore and I managed to get in a 1km swim in the resort pool!! Did another 1km on Day 2! I will resume swimming ‘properly’ next week when I get home. ShareThank you to my Sponsors
