Did you know that every day, 58 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer — and sadly, 9 lives are lost to this disease?
I’ve made the decision to cut my hair and raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), supporting their powerful vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
This cause is deeply personal to me. In 2016, my mum was suddenly diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Thanks to life-saving treatment, she’s still here today — watching her grandchildren grow and sharing in their adventures. I’ll never forget the moment her hair began to fall out… one of the hardest parts of her journey. Her hair was such a strong part of her identity, and shaving it together was a moment of courage, strength, and love that’s stayed with me ever since.
Wigs played a powerful role in her healing — not just physically, but emotionally. By donating my hair, I hope to help other women facing their own battles feel a little more like themselves again.
