Sheppard Cycles Breast Cancer Challenge - How it works
As you all would know by now our dear friend Paula (Sheppard Cycles Head of Marketing) is fighting breast cancer. To show our support, we as a company will take on a physical challenge for the month of March to raise much needed money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Australia’s leading national body funding game-changing breast cancer research.
Our challenge is raise $20,000 and to collectively Ride, Run, Walk, Skate or Swim the Highway 1 distance around Australia (14,500km) and the length of New Zealand (2,033km), a total distance of 16,533 km.
It’s going to be tough but so is fighting breast cancer! If everyone gets involved we can do this!
To start it all off in March, we will organise a big group walk around the Albert Park Lake in Melb, followed by a refreshments (gold coin donation which will go directly to our fundraising efforts). Bring partners, kids, dog or friends and lets get physical!!
So how does it work?
Every Sheppard Cycles employee is involved in this challenge, each choosing a preferred physical activity, receiving a target distance to cover between 1st and 31st March, and spreading the word about our challenge to seek donations.
