My 58 Squat Challenge for breast cancer research
In late 2022 I was diagnosed with stage 3 invasive breast cancer and LCIS. 58 Australians each day are diagnosed with breast cancer. Maybe I was unlucky. But without a doubt also so lucky. It was caught early. Two and a half years on, through quality medical treatment (an absolute village of specialists and nurses), 4 surgeries, more luck, and the love and care of those around me, I am cancer free. Now, I love to play country music with my band Miss Jolene & the Jinx.. And in my recovery I have embraced weight training and I also love to squat.
Join our team the Diddley Squats in the 58 Squat Challenge to make a difference to the lives of those impacted by this incredibly common disease - by raising vital funds for world-class breast cancer research.
