Triathlon Pink 2026-27 Series

Please support my Triathlon Pink fundraiser!

Did you know that every day 56 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer and 9 people in Australia die every day from this disease?

That is why I am taking part in Triathlon Pink and raising funds for world-class breast cancer research to help National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.

Please support me and my pledge to save lives and make a difference.

Every donation, big or small, will get me closer to reaching my goal. Together, we can stop deaths from breast cancer.

My why💕

Tuesday 8th Sep
There is a different type of person out there that we meet, a person that is kind and selfless. But is genuinely kind, the type that many people talk about in the brightest light.
In highschool, I became friends with someone called Samantha. And Sam was this beautiful person who could see the good in everyone. Would give them second, third chances, would always think the best of people, and you could not tell her otherwise.
She became one of my dearest friends. We did classes together, came equal 11th in a maths exam (despite sitting in different sections) and she was just someone you wanted in your life.
Now Sam met someone called Dave, and to see these two beautiful kind souls meet - it was meant to be.
Sam and Dave did what you do when in love, you get married and make a beautiful life full of adventures around Australia, and even around the world. They built communities with church groups, worked on people's farms with Outback Links. Truly selfless.
Dave had cancer as a kid, and that shaped him to be the person he was. Nothing was ever a bother. Hilarious. We still talk about stories of him falling into the prickly bush off his bike - and sadly, his cancer came back. Dave left us all including Sam in 2012. An event that just made your heart ache.
Sam became a teacher, and grew a legacy to leave behind - helping teach disadvantaged kids in rural Australlia with Tikvah Education Australia and their HoTLaNe project. The kind-hearted soul had found a way to leave her mark on the world.
Sam was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer after finding a lump mid 2021. She was in her 30s.
After rounds of chemo, radiation, surgery etc, our beautiful Sam passed in 2025. Whilst she was battling, she continued her legacy of teaching, of guiding kids to fulfill her potential with. She was passionate. She wanted to make a difference.
She's in the photo on my desk with a cheeky smile urging me to keep going when I lose motivation.

And so I want to make a difference. How to keep Sam's memory ongoing. How to support others in her position. How to prevent others being in that position.

And whilst I have travelled a different path to Sam, I hope it would make her proud.

So whilst I try my best to survive a sprint triathlon, I'm more doing this to help beautiful souls from leaving this world too early. Because we all need people like Sam in this world🩷
