October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I'm running 5km every day of the month to raise vital funds for world-class breast cancer research.
As many will already know, I have worked for NBCF for close to 4 years. In that time, I've been fortunate enough to meet some truly incredible people who, despite the impact of breast cancer on their lives, show unbelievable strength and commitment to funding research and ending deaths from breast cancer. These fundraisers inspire me every day.
What most wont know is that I grew up with a mum going through cancer, and whilst not breast cancer, it did give me a unique insight into the challenges which face such a diagnosis as well as the power of research to change the outcomes.
This is why I have decided to take this challenge on; to help ensure the positive outcomes for the 55 Australians diagnosed with breast cancer each day.
