I'm now a Pink Hero
The Hockey ACT Chris MacKinnon Breast Cancer Awareness Round is a special opportunity for our community to come together in support of those impacted by breast cancer, while honouring the legacy of Chris MacKinnon and the family's longstanding contribution to hockey in the ACT.
Breast cancer affects thousands of Australians every year, touching the lives of players, officials, volunteers, family members and friends throughout our hockey community. This round serves as a reminder of the importance of awareness, early detection, support services and ongoing research.
Throughout the round, Hockey ACT raises funds to support breast cancer initiatives and organisations that provide vital care, support and research. Every donation helps make a difference by contributing to improved treatment outcomes, patient support programs and the ongoing search for a cure.
By wearing pink, participating in fundraising activities and making a donation, our community demonstrates the values that make hockey so special – connection, compassion and support for one another.
Together, we can celebrate our hockey community while helping create a future free from breast cancer.
