Please support my Triathlon Pink fundraiser!

Last year my mum was diagnosed with lobular breast cancer which was a huge shock. She ended up having a mastectomy as the cancer was in several places and had grown to 12cm in length.

It was only by chance that she had gone in for a mammogram to check herself out as she felt a lump. And it’s so lucky that she did. Fortunately, she went for treatment and is now in recovery and doing well. 

With my mum based in the UK, and myself in Sydney, it’s been a very difficult time especially when I’ve not been able to be there in person for her.

That is why I am taking part in Triathlon Pink and raising funds for world-class breast cancer research to help National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.

I want to race for my mum to show my support even when I live on the other side of the world, and all the incredible women who have had to battle against this terrible disease. 

I only started running properly just over a year ago and every run is a struggle not to give up and quit. I do it to become a stronger, more resilient woman and to push my boundaries. This race, I am not running for myself, but for all women out there and to remind everyone for the importance of getting checked out early.
