I'm now a Zero Hero

I have decided to shave my head! My hair is a HUGE part of my physical personality so this is a bit of a big deal. I've been a hairdresser for 17yrs now and have used my hair as a way to show my creativity although, I am very much ready for the cathartic release of having no hair to deal with it. BUT I've decided why not raise some money at the same time.

Breast cancer is very close to my heart, my Nan past away from breast cancer that spread to the rest of her body ultimately taking her from this earth meaning I barely got to know her as a child. My older sister is a breast cancer survivor, witnessing her going through that process was really challenging as I am sure all can imagine. My best friend of almost 10yrs both her Mum and Step Mum were diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023.

Phew, that's a lot. I will be using my best friends wedding as a cut off for donations, shaving my head in the days following the wedding, this means I have around 5 months to raise as much as I can to help aid in breast cancer research to hopefully either make someones life more comfortable or even saves some lives!

I have made the goal quite high as I am aware of my reach and the power of the internet. The internet helped me save my dog a few years ago and now I'm ready to flex that muscle again. 

I understand not all of us have been touched by breast cancer, so it can be easy to not really think about it. I also understand the cost of living is horrendous right now. Maybe skip buying yourself a take away coffee and use that $7 (sometimes more depending on your order) and donate. just once!
