2024 Saints FC Ladies Day & Helen Anglicas Memorial Trophy

By Ryan Mclean

I'm now a Zero Hero

Between 2022 and 2023 we have raised almost $32,000 for the NBCF. In 2024 we want to raise that much in a SINGLE EVENT. We can do it!!

Did you know that every day 57 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer and 9 people lose their lives to this disease? National Breast Cancer Foundation need your support to help change the statistics. All Saints players, including those currently attending the College, Old Boys and Saints men’s football players, are encouraged to invite as many significant woman in their life, such as a mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, girlfriend or friend, to celebrate the incredible role females play in all aspects of our lives and the importance of such figures in our community. The Ladies Day will act in parallel to the celebration of Helen Anglicas, commemorating her impact on so many St. Augustine and Brookvale football players, as well as every other person touched by her incredible kindness. Everyone is encouraged to wear pink clothing.

Sadly, Helen Anglicas lost her fight against breast cancer in 2016. On the day, money raised through donations, raffles, competitions and other sales, will be donated to The National Breast Cancer Foundation, Australia’s leading national body, who fund game-changing breast cancer research. The National Breast Cancer Foundation receives NO GOVERNMENT FUNDING.

This year we are aiming for $32,000 in fundraising to go towards the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

All Saints boys, ladies and other guests are encouraged to come wear pink, drink bubbles, eat food, win raffles, share laughs and watch football. St. Augustine’s College Premier League Football Club will play in an annual commemorative trophy game against Brookvale Premier League Football Club, labelled the Helen Anglicas Cup, kicking off at 3:00pm.

The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is Australia’s leading national body funding game-changing breast cancer research with money raised entirely by the Australian public. Since their inception in 1994, NBCF has invested around $200M into more than 600 world-class research projects across Australia.

We really believe research is the best way to prevent deaths, and improve how breast cancer is diagnosed, managed and treated. NBCF is working towards one goal: zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. Together we can help them get there.

Click 'Donate' to make a secure online donation and help me reach my goal. Every donation, big or small, will help me get there. Please donate today.

All donations over $2 are tax deductible and you will be issued with a tax-deductible receipt via email as soon as you make your donation. Thank you so much for your support!
