I'm Stepping Up To Breast Cancer

This August, the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is challenging all Australians to come together to Step Up to Breast Cancer and raise funds in support of the thousands of women and men whose lives have been - and will be - impacted by breast cancer.

I've stepped up to the challenge to take 10,000 steps everyday for the month of August and raise funds for game-changing research, helping take NBCF one step closer to ending deaths from breast cancer.

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia. Almost 20,000 women and men will be diagnosed this year. That’s 53 Australians every single day. Since NBCF’s inception in 1994, the five-year survival rate for breast cancer has increased from 76% to 91%. It’s proof that their strategy of investing in world-class research is working. However 8 women still lose their lives from breast cancer each day – mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts and friends.

Please donate to my page and you’ll be helping the National Breast Cancer Foundation take one step closer to their goal of ending deaths from breast cancer.

YOU can make a difference. Let me know if you want to Step Up to Breast Cancer with me!

My Updates

To end deaths by 2030

Saturday 8th Aug

Have you read the statistics of breast cancer? It’s not something you would just look up is it. Unless you’re going through it or have someone you love recently diagnosed.

Have you read the overall cancer survivor statistics? No, probably not.

Cancer is one of the biggest leading causes of deaths in the world, yet here we are with more grim cancer statistics than ever before.

The research that goes into every single cancer there is, the trials and the testing- that’s all because of amazing people like you who donate their hard working money.

I was diagnosed in early 2019 at age 34 with triple negative breast cancer, negative for any genetics. I have 2 children and an amazing husband.

Triple negative breast cancer has one of the WORST survival rates and the treatment isn’t targeted and as effective as it’s the same that’s used for other types of breast cancers. Your donation goes to research to help change that.

So, thank you. From me to you. ??
