Celebrate innovation this Science Week (14 - 22 August) and raise funds to help make Zero Deaths from breast cancer a reality.

1 in 7 women and 1 in 726 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. More than 20,000 Australians will be diagnosed this year: 55 mothers, daughters, aunties, sisters and friends diagnosed with breast cancer every single day.

Now more than ever science is vital for changing health outcomes for all Australians. By hosting a science-themed morning tea or activity in your school, workplace or social club you can support innovative Australian research that can change the future for women and men impacted by breast cancer.

Celebrate innovation with us this August and help fund the future of science to save lives today.

Why celebrate Science Week?

'More than half the treatments I'm using today weren't around when I was in medical school. Transformation is happening at a rapid pace. But while we've had a lot of success, there's a lot more to be done.'

THIS IS WHAT WE’RE UP AGAINST

AUSTRALIANS
ARE DIAGNOSED
EVERY HOUR

AUSTRALIANS
ARE DIAGNOSED
EVERY DAY

AUSTRALIANS
WILL BE DIAGNOSED
IN 2021

This increase is largely due to longer life expectancy, population growth, improved detection methods and also lifestyle changes. Directly or indirectly - more Australian families are likely to be affected by breast cancer than any other type of cancer. While research has told us a lot about what can affect breast cancer risk, more research is required to learn more about the different causes of breast cancer.

Research is the best way to stop deaths from breast cancer.
